Per Kotaku, the Star Wars Battlefront II subreddit began to blow up with users posting about Chewbacca and the man behind all of the fur, who played the role in the original trilogy, Revenge of the Sith, and even the first movie of the latest trilogy in Force Awakens. Now, developers and fans of Star Wars Battlefront II are paying tribute to him in the game. After the news broke, many of his friends and fans showed their admiration for him online with countless amounts of stories and support.
Peter Mayhew, the man who played the role as one of the most recognizable characters in all of entertainment in Chewbacca, sadly passed away on April 30, 2019.
